What is intuition? The problem with the word intuition is that it's not one thing it's many things. It's like the Inuit people that live in the Arctic Circle. We have one word for snow - they have many many words for snow. That's because snow is so important for them. Unfortunately we don't talk much about intuition and so have "lumped" everything into one word. To simplify things, here are three types of intuition - gut feelings, insights and psychic intuition.
Gut feelings - this is a feeling you get about someone or something when you first meet them. The feeling is either good or bad, but you don't know why you have the feeling. The feeling is based on your experience. You hav met many types of people before and your subconscious mind recognises patterns in their behaviour, speech or pace that it recognises. This kind of intuition can be useful, but it can be wrong. The good thing is that if you are wrong, this experience will improve your intuition for next time.
Insights - This intuition is a flash of insight after you have thought about something for a long time. For example you may be thinking about how to go about writing an essay for school. With your rational conscious mind you think about the new possibilities in different ways you can do the assignment. Perhaps the next morning you wake up and then suddenly you have an idea know exactly how you going to do it and is how to go about it. Mrs insight or entrepreneurial intuitional. Everybody has this kind of intuition and many scientific breakthroughs are made in this way.
Psychic intuition – unfortunately, psychic intuition has gotten about dictation, maybe from people trying to exploit all make money from telling people about the future. However, there is good scientific evidence gathered over a longer of time, that suggests that people do have the ability to transfer their thoughts and even see into the future. That does not mean of course that everybody that says they consider future is psychic. It does not mean of course that everybody can transfer thoughts all the time and that it'll be accurate. Scientific studies have simply shown that, for example, one person can look that's one of four shapes, and think about that shape, and the person in the next room for the next city is able to guess what that shape is at slightly higher accuracy rate than random.
